In repine, the site specific film projections evoke a state where reason and language fail. The first of two pieces utilizes the projection of light and shadow as a template to reveal the surface of a screen covered with feathers. The second piece presents a woman gazing out the window while perpetually brushing her hair in a reverse motion, emphasizing the awkward assertion of her ritual. Pervading the space is the recording of a song which describes the attempt to look into people’s lives via their windows.
